KILLYBEGS PLAYGROUND COMPETITION

In 2011 Open Office Architects collaborated with Aideen Lowery and David Shannon to create a design for a new playground in the town of Killybegs located along the north west coast of Ireland.

Working within the constraints of a very modest budget, our proposal seeks to amplify the existing site conditions in order to create an environment which would encourage active engagement and exploration while also subtley reinforcing the identity of the town in which it is located.
