The proposed structures are envisaged as utility towers which use emerging renewable energy-technologies such as micro wind turbines and PV cladding to meet the energy needs of the conservation areas in which they are located. By day the towers could provide energy for local light and heat demands, and by night the surplus energy could be wasted in spectacular fashion transforming the site into an "Energy Park" for the benefit of local residents.
Micro wind turbines offer many advantages over their larger scaled counterparts and can be made from recycled plastic with the potential for endless reuse.
