We walked past here before bloomsday and had to climb the sea wall to safety, escaping from the tide and waves.

These structures on the coastline have formed a backdrop to my youth and have inspired drawings, paintings, stories and songs. I thought it fitting to share some of the curious and delighful little structures to be found along the coast of the Pale.

Needless to say I love this stretch of coast and how the light changes in the expanse of sky and water, filled with sights,sounds and smells that never fail to lift my spirits and inspire - N
