"We had found our home. Yes it was a little shabby and in need of love but it had potential. It wasn't until we saw the architect's plans for the place that we realised how much potential it actually had. Open Office Architects turned our house back to front and opened up spaces we hadn't even seen. The whole place works so well now people sit in our living room and marvel as to where all the space came from.

On a business level their awareness and guidance was great. They handled everything from initial contracts to pushy tradesmen. Even when the secrets of the house threatened to swallow the budget whole they held their nerve and allowed me to vent my stress.

They gave us a light filled living space that feels like home."

"Niall and his colleagues were professional, passionate and committed from the get-go. Not only did they listen to us, respect our concerns, and take our side in every possible way, they are also artists with fine eyes undimmed by tight budgets. Thoroughly recommended."

"Our 100-year old ground-floor parisian apartment has seen many walls come and go; the amalgam of two small apartments, a car repair shop, and a large extension, the whole being subsequently split in two again; an estate agent might have described it (with an estate agent's smile) as "charming" and "authentic". After we moved in, Niall showed us how to turn this Frankenstein of a place into a modern, spacious, cosy, luminous home for a family of four. Considering that a square metre of parisian floorspace now costs around 7000 euros, this kind of advice pays for itself many times over."

"My parents engaged Niall and his colleagues to design an extension and alterations to their home. On their first visit they looked at the proposed extension and listened to what my parents hoped to achieve. They surveyed the property, secured planning permission and prepared construction drawings. We are pleased with the result and found them to be friendly, efficient and professional."

“The thing I'm most grateful for, oddly enough, is that very first meeting where Niall presented the design.

It was an audacious departure from our original request – to say the least! It required the destruction of my beloved garden layout. It would clearly be more expensive than we'd been planning but the design that Niall came up with was (is) brilliant and I want to thank him for talking us into it!”

“We had an idea we wanted to improve the energy efficiency and comfort of our house but were not too sure where to spend the money. Getting the architect's assessment done first was a great way to figure out what the worst areas were in our house and where to direct our resources.

We are much more comfortable in the house now – we went 18 months on a single tank of oil after these measures were introduced – and in the summer months I feel twice as happy each time the sun comes out knowing its heating our water and saving us money.

While we’re still quite a way off passive house standards I feel a lot happier that we have made a huge difference – we slashed the amount of energy we use by more than half with this project and I sleep better at night knowing I’ve done what I can with the place.”

Our architects examined our business methods and helped us figure out what we wanted from our
headquarters building. They explored numerous methods of joining the two buildings to maximise
the existing space, whilst minimising the cost of new construction. We found their 3d drawings and
plans easy to understand and were useful in discussing the proposed schemes at our board meetings.

They imagined the place as a blank canvas, without walls and then started to redesign it according
to our needs. They helped us to find the best solution that gives us a bright open-plan office layout.

Nowadays our customers comment favourably on the display and reception area and remark on the
improvements asking who designed it for us. On behalf of my company and staff I would like to
thank Open Office for their professionalism in solving our problems and would strongly
recommend their services to other businesspeople.
